Because we have adventuresome Seniors in our 2016 Senior Model and Ambassador Program this year, we decided to do a special photoshoot at Matanuska Glacier as part of their senior picture experience. Alex is from West High School in Anchorage and Kaylee and Aurora are from Chugiak High School. All three of them are members of the class of 2016. In late August we took them and their parents down the Glenn Highway to the glacier. After getting rained out the first time we scheduled this shoot, we were pretty stoked when we awoke to the perfect weather. We left our studio in Eagle River around 2pm. The drive was easy and smooth through Chugiak and Palmer all the way to Glacier View.
After trudging through glacier mud, climbing down some ice mounds and gravel and we made our way to the perfect spot.
Alex, Kaylee, and Aurora worked their sessions dressed in formal wear. Not too many seniors can say they had their senior pictures taken on a glacier. It really was a grand day. We had a lot of fun and took some fabulous photos. Hope you enjoy them!
Aurora Bartlett, Chugiak High School, got it all started.
Alex Bardsley, West High School, was the warmest of our subjects that afternoon.
Kaylee Carlson, Chugiak High School, giving us her best Vogue expression.
Aurora and Kaylee friends since childhood, looking warm while freezing.
Alex at our second location just chilling out.
The whole crew for one last shot before heading to the van.
