We were thrilled to photograph the Nutcracker dress rehearsals with the Eugene Ballet at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. The photographs were taken at the dress rehearsals on Novebmer 24 (Monday), November 25 (Tuesday), and November 26 (Wednesday). We did not photograph any of the actual performances.
About the photos.
All of the photos were taken with the available stage or backstage lighting. To avoid disrupting the dancers we did not use flash or any other added artificial lighting.
We did our best to photograph every dancer during the rehearsals. Some of the dancers on Monday, November 24, did not appear on stage. Based on lighting, choregraphy, and blocking some dancers were more difficult to photograph than others.
The Online Gallery.
The photo files are on sale online as digital downloads. The files are great to post online, add to your family website, use as screen savers, and for making printed copies.
To make it a bit easier to find your dancer we organzied the gallery into groups based on the day of the dress rehearsal.
One of the categories is “Backstage”. This group includes any photos we took in the dressing rooms, in the wings, or during curtain calls.
The large watermark you see when viewing photos in the gallery will not be on the photos you purchase.
Getting Prints made from your files.
The photo files are formatted to print at sizes up to 8×12. We strongly recommend using an online lab for printing. These are some we have found to do excellent printing
