The Big Reveal – Class of 2021

2020 Hasn’t Been a Normal Year (in case you haven’t noticed)

Each year in the early spring of their Junior year we typically photograph the students that have joined our Senior Model and Ambassador Program. We use the results of those ‘portfolio’ sessions to create initial photos to share on social media. More importantly, we select one photograph from each session to print and hang on our studio wall for the year. We refer to this display as “The Wall” and we debut these images in early May during an event we call “The Big Reveal”.

Well…..none of that happened this year.

Since 2020 has been anything but typical, the portfolio sessions did not take place in the spring. Starting in mid-June we finally figured out a way to safely conduct these sessions. By the time we completed them all the summer was nearly over. Then we struggled with a way to hold an open house to debut “The Wall”.

The Answer!

A couple of weeks ago we finally hit on a solution. We rented an auditorium at Century 16 Theater in Anchorage. By limiting capacity to 50%, wearing masks, and socially distancing we were able to debut the work our Class of 2021 Seniors did with us.

This last Saturday evening we met at Century 16 for a slide show presentation followed by a viewing of Beetlejuice. The slideshow included selected photographs from the Senior session of each of our Senior Models and Ambassadors.  The slideshow concluded with the photographs we selected from each of their portfolio session to be displayed on “The Wall”.
