The fee for a Senior Session is $250. This includes the consult, professional makeup, custom photography, and a single ordering session. The purchase of wall art, albums, folio boxes, and gift prints is in addition to the session fee. For families wanting winter (skiing, snowboarding, snowmaching….) or spring photos we can make arrangements to split the session into two parts for you.

Frequently Asked Questions about Senior Photos

How much does senior photography cost?

We charge a session fee. The session fee covers the cost of the photo session and does not include the purchase of photographic products like prints, wall, and albums. The photos/products you choose are an additional charge. Your costs (including the session fee) can range from as little as $950 all together and on up.
Do you offer payment plans for senior photos?
Do you offer weekend or evening senior picture sessions?

Yes. Generally speaking we offer photoshoots Monday through Saturday. We tend to plan photo sessions for the late afternoon or evening most of the time. In this part of Alaska this time of day tends to be the best for the light. We schedule your session based upon the type of pictures you want to create and the lighting that you like best.
What style of photography do you specialize in (natural, editorial, candid)?
We offer a variety of styles of photography. Everyone has their own idea of how they want their senior pictures to look. We discuss the style you like best at your planning consult so we can create the type of photos you love best. Here are some of the styles that we offer:

Where should I take my senior photos?
What happens if it rains on the day of my senior portraits?

The day of your session, we watch what is going on at the location(s) you have chosen. If weather does not cooperate with our plan, then we usually reach out to you about two hours before we are scheduled to meet and discuss alternatives. We can move to another location where the weather is more favorable or we can reschedule your session for another day and time.

When should I schedule my senior pictures?

We do a consult with you beforehand to plan your session with us. At that time we talk about a variety of things including the best time to schedule your photo session with us. Since summer flowers and autumn colors last such a brief time, the sooner you schedule a consult with us the better. These are premium times so the available days go quickly.
Is there a session fee?

Yes. The session fee is collected at the time of your consultation and guarantees your session date.

Our standard session fee is $250. The session fee includes 2 hours of custom photography at up to two locations you select, professional makeup if you choose to take advantage of that and driving to your locations. The locations can be anywhere from Matanuska Lakes near Palmer to Beluga Point south of Anchorage. You can select two locations in this area so long as they are within a 30 minute drive of each other.

You can customize your session with more shooting time, more locations, or locations outside our standard area. This results in a slightly higher session fee.
Do you recommend professional hair and makeup for my Senior photos?

Our professional makeup artists work with you to create the look for your Senior photo session that is uniquely you. We include this as part of your session at no charge. When it comes to wardrobe we are happy to provide recommendations for what to wear but ultimately we want to capture who your Senior is in their own style!

How long will my Senior photo session last?

Your session will last about two hours and can take place at two different locations that are within a 30 minute drive of each other. This does not include preparation time if you opt to have our artist do your makeup. It also does not include the time it takes to drive from one location to another. As a result you’ll be in front of the camera being photographed for about two hours.
Are digital images included in the price?
Where can I go for my Senior Photos?

Our normal $250 session fee for Senior Photos covers locations from Matanuska Lakes near Palmer to Beluga Point south of Anchorage. You can select two locations in this area so long as they are within a 30 minute drive of each other. There are many spots featuring the scenic grandeur of Alaska.

If you prefer we can shoot indoors at a location you like, such as a coffee shop or home, or in our studio.

You can opt for locations outside our normal area. This will result in slighter higher session fee.

We offer a variety of photo product options, so your final cost will depend upon what it is you would like to have.

We offer high quality photo paper prints, albums, wall art in a variety of different options, folio boxes and much more. Let us know what you are looking for and we should be able to get it for you?
