How to Include Dance in Your Senior Photos
Sun, Breeze, and Senior Photo Dance Vibes!
Dancing on Alaska’s Coast for Senior Photos!
We had an absolute banner day for Sophia’s senior photos.
After three reschedules, the weather finally gave us its best. It just goes to show that with a little patience and perseverance, we find the magic! We spent the session at Beluga Point and Carr Gottstein Park (aka The Bluff), which provided the perfect Alaskan landscapes for creative movement, and stunning photos.
Sophia was a natural! We love capturing our seniors when they feel comfortable and confident, and Sophia truly made the most of every moment.

How to Include Dance in Your Senior Photos
Dance helps tells your story. It shows passion, dedication, and personality. So, why not bring that part of your life into your senior photo session?
First, think about what makes dance special to you. Maybe you love ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, or contemporary dance. Perhaps you perform on stage or compete with a team. Whatever your style, we can incorporate it into your senior photo session.
Next, consider bringing your dance shoes or other meaningful accessories. Pointe shoes can create beautiful detail shots. So can ballet slippers, costumes, ribbons, or medals. These small details can add another layer to your senior photos.
Bring dance outfits that make you feel confident. A costume can help create dramatic images. Meanwhile, a simple dance outfit can keep the photos clean and modern.
Movement can also make your session exciting. Try a favorite dance pose. Show a leap, turn, stretch, or other signature move. You do not need to perform a complete routine. Instead, focus on movements that feel natural and comfortable.
Furthermore, think about your location. A studio can create a classic dance atmosphere. However, outdoor locations can add something unexpected. A mountain, field, urban setting, or dramatic Alaska landscape can contrast beautifully with dance attire.
Most importantly, let your personality lead the session. Your senior photos should show more than what you look like. They should show what you love.
After all, dance represents a part of who you are. Including it in your senior photo session creates images that feel personal, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
