Walking in the Woods for Senior Pictures
Walking Through the Woods for Senior Pictures
Senior Pictures and a walk in the woods!
Let it be known that we don’t let bugs put a damper on our photo sessions!
A short walk through the woods brought us to this fallen tree that was the perfect area to shoot. (Well minus the bugs.) In this beautiful mossy forest we were able to create some stunning images for her Senior Photos!

Senior Photos in the Woods: Making the Most of a Log
The woods create a beautiful setting for senior photos. Tall trees, soft light, and natural textures add depth to every image. Plus, a simple log can create a relaxed and natural pose.
However, Alaska’s woods come with one small challenge: bugs.
Fortunately, you can prepare for them. First, choose a time when insects feel less active. Cooler mornings or evenings often help. Also, bring insect repellent and apply it before your session. Keep the repellent away from your face and clothing to avoid stains.
Next, think about your wardrobe before you leave home. Wear something comfortable for walking to the photo site. Once you reach the perfect spot, you can change into your photo outfit. This simple trick keeps your clothing clean and makes the walk much easier.
When you find the perfect log, check the area before sitting down. Look for ants, spiders, or other unwanted visitors. Then, brush off the log and settle in.
Most importantly, don’t let a few bugs ruin the experience. Your photographer can move quickly between locations and poses. In addition, natural movement often creates some of the best images.
With the right shoes, smart clothing choices, and a little preparation, you can enjoy beautiful senior photos in the woods without letting bugs or muddy trails ruin the experience.
So, grab your favorite outfit, bring bug spray, and enjoy the woods. Relax, have fun, and create senior photos that feel completely natural.
