Senior photography is a chance to document an important milestone by creating portraits that reflect each student’s individual style. In our part of Alaska, our senior photo sessions offer an especially wide range of settings and seasonal possibilities.
Downtown Anchorage offers the option of an urban look. The surrounding forests, mountains, lakes, trails, and coastline provide limitless natural settings for stunning portraits. Selecting the right time of year is an important part of planning senior portraits. The changing Alaska landscape can provide a very different look throughout the year.
Summer sessions can take advantage of longer daylight hours, green landscapes, and wildflowers. Fall brings colorful foliage in the forests and mountain sides. Winter sessions incorporate snow-covered landscapes and dramatic seasonal conditions. Indoor or studio locations provide a consistent option regardless of weather.
Planning a senior photography session involves choosing location, season, and look. Making selections meaningful to the Senior is a big part of creating unique photographs. This is a great way to make the last year of high school a bit more meaningful.
Clothing is another important consideration for senior pictures. Many seniors choose to wear three or four outfits during their session. These can represent different sides of their personality, emphasize hobbies, highlight a sport, or are just comfortable.
